Threat to bomb Vistara plane again, emergency landing of flight from Delhi to London


There has been a series of bomb threats on flights of domestic airlines. Now a similar incident has come to light on Vistara’s flight from Delhi to London. The plane was diverted to Frankfurt late Friday night after receiving threats on social media. The Boeing 787 flight landed in Frankfurt at 9.02 pm local time. Immediately after this, investigation of the plane was started, but no suspicious object was found. It took two and a half hours to complete the investigation process. In this way the plane reached its destination at 11:32 pm.

Earlier on Thursday, two international flights of Vistara and Indigo Airlines had received bomb threats. Bomb threats were received on 7 flights of IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa on Wednesday. About a dozen flights operated by Indian airlines also received similar threats on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to the airline, a Vistara airline flight coming from Frankfurt, Germany to Mumbai received a bomb threat. After this, on Thursday the plane was landed at Mumbai airport in emergency condition.

Threat in flight from Istanbul to Mumbai

A bomb threat was also received in an Indigo plane flying from Istanbul, Turkey to Mumbai. The aircraft was taken to a different location for extensive security checks by security agencies. “A security threat was made on social media regarding Vistara flight UK 028, which flew from Frankfurt to Mumbai on October 16,” the airline said. All concerned authorities were immediately informed and the aircraft landed safely at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai. After the plane landed, all the passengers were deboarded and the plane was parked at a separate place for mandatory security check.
