Last year, due to strong winds, six statues of seven sages made of fiber-reinforced plastic installed in Mahakal Mahaloka fell and broke into pieces. Then BJP had said that the plan to install fiber statues was of Congress’s Kamal Nath government.

BJP will install stone statues as per the scriptures. A few months after this incident, the government immediately installed new fiber statues. This year, after Gudi Padwa, construction of new stone idols was also started.
