A tragic accident occurred during idol immersion in MP; Three died, five injured due to electric shock


A tragic accident took place during the immersion ceremony of the idols of Mata Mahakali in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. Three people died and five were seriously injured in the accident. The incident happened due to electric shock. The injured and the dead have been taken to the hospital for treatment and post-mortem. Police reached the spot and started investigation. The reason behind the spread of current is being ascertained.

Three died and five got burnt due to electric shock

There was an atmosphere of happiness all around during the idol immersion ceremony of Mata Kali, but then within no time the whole atmosphere turned into screams and painful sounds. Actually, while placing the idol of Mata Kali on the trolley, the high tension wire came in contact with the trolley and within no time there was chaos. People who came in contact with the trolley were badly electrocuted. Many children were involved in this. The power supply was immediately stopped on the spot and the injured were taken to Lakhnadon Civil Hospital for treatment.

Police started investigation after post mortem

Treatment of the injured is continuing in the hospital. The police reached the spot, conducted the post-mortem of the deceased, registered a case and started interrogating the people nearby. BMO of Civil Hospital BS Solanki said that on Thursday a trolley got hit by a high tension line. In this accident, 8 people were injured due to electric shock, out of which 3 have died and the remaining 5 people are being treated.

CM gave financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each

Here, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav tweeted on Twitter that in Lakhnadon tehsil of Seoni district, sad news has been received of untimely death of 3 people due to electrocution after their tractor trolley came under high tension line. He has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. Also, the Chief Minister has given instructions to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased through voluntary donations. The district administration has been directed for proper treatment of those injured in the accident.
