Even if the party makes me a watchman, I will work with dedication; Anil Vij on the question of not becoming CM

Naib Singh Saini has been elected leader of the BJP legislature party in Haryana. With this, his path to becoming CM again has been cleared. He will take oath as CM on Thursday at 10 am at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula. His name was proposed by senior party leader Anil Vij, who was calling himself a contender for the post of CM amid the elections. Now when he was asked this question again, Anil Vij said that I had no such desire. Anil Vij said, ‘I never even kept it in my mind. On getting any responsibility from the party, Anil Vij said that if the party makes me a watchman, then I will do that work with full devotion.

Anil Vij himself proposed the name of Naib Singh Saini in the BJP Legislature Party meeting on Wednesday. Apart from Anil Vij, Krishna Bedi also proposed the name of Naib Saini, which was approved by the MLAs by voice vote. This scene was interesting because Anil Vij had said during the elections that if BJP won, he would meet only as Chief Minister after the elections. After this, it was interesting when the BJP leadership proposed Saini’s name to him.

Anil Vij has been elected from Ambala Cantt Assembly for the 7th consecutive time. He has been calling himself a contender for the post of CM for a long time. During the 9 and a half year tenure of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, he was the Home Minister and was powerful. Even after this his relationship with Khattar was not smooth. At the same time, when Saini was made the CM, he did not even come to take the oath as a minister. This was seen as his displeasure, but later his tone softened a bit. This was the reason why he contested the elections on the party ticket. However, in the midst of the election campaign, he created a stir by calling himself a CM contender.
