Bomb threats were received on three international flights taking off from Mumbai on Monday. A day after this, Mumbai Police on Tuesday detained a 17-year-old boy from Chhattisgarh who allegedly posted messages on the social media platform X. According to police, the boy had posted the messages in an attempt to trap a 31-year-old man. Kishore had run a mobile shop with the man a few months ago and had suffered financial losses.

According to reports, Mumbai Police tracked the Class 11 student to Chhattisgarh and called him and his father to Mumbai for questioning. A senior police officer said, ‘On Tuesday, the minor was interrogated regarding the case. After his role in the technical analysis was discovered, he was detained and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), which remanded him to four days’ custody for police questioning.’

Three international flights were disrupted due to a bomb threat on board. In which there were two Indigo and one Air India flights. Initial investigation by Mumbai Police revealed that a person using the handles @fazluddin69 and @fazluddin27077 on social media had posted bomb threat messages. After which Mumbai’s Sahar Police Station registered an FIR against the users of both the handles.

Using digital forensics, Mumbai Police traced the 31-year-old man to Chhattisgarh. However, police said that further investigation revealed that the messages were posted by a 17-year-old minor boy. Kishore has had disputes with that person many times. A Chhattisgarh police officer said that the minor and the man’s father were partners in the shoe business. Recently, the boy and the 31-year-old man started a mobile business together, but they suffered losses due to which there was a dispute between them over money.
