Mumbai Police has made new revelations regarding the killers of veteran Maharashtra politician Baba Siddiqui. Police officials say that the planning to kill Baba Siddiqui had started in Pune three months ago. The killers learned how to shoot from YouTube and communicated with each other on Snapchat and Instagram. Mumbai Crime Branch team has arrested four people in the Siddiqui murder case. All four have police custody till October 21.
Last Saturday, shooters Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap, who had come to kill NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, had fired six rounds. Siddiqui died on the way to the hospital. Both were arrested a few hours after the firing. Sources said that the police is trying to find out the place where they practiced, but it has been found that they used to practice shooting on YouTube.
Mumbai Crime Branch has so far recorded statements of more than 15 people in this case. Mumbai Police today arrested another accused, Harish Kumar Nishad, in connection with the murder of an NCP leader. This is the fourth arrest in this case. Police claim that Harish had provided money and weapons for the accused. Earlier, the police team had arrested conspirator Praveen Lonkar from Pune. Praveen is Shubham’s brother, who is Lawrence Bishnoi’s henchman.
Police said that Praveen and Shubham Lonkar had given Rs 2 lakh to shooters Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap and this money was sent through the fourth accused Harish. Shiva Gautam, the third suspected shooter in the murder case, is still absconding and is being searched. Harish and Kashyap belong to the same village where wanted accused Gautam lives.
The murder was planned three months ago
Mumbai Police on Tuesday said that the conspiracy to murder Baba Siddiqui, who was a minister in the Maharashtra government, started about three months ago and the accused had approached his house several times without weapons. The murder was planned in Pune. The shooters were also given a photograph of Baba Siddiqui and were told that this was the target. Police said, “Reiki of the house and office was also done 25 days before the incident.”

Apart from money, two mobile phones were also provided to the shooters. Police said that investigation revealed that the accused used Snapchat app for chatting and Instagram for calling.
