Trackman was working on the railway track, the train hit him from behind


Painful news has come out from Madhya Pradesh. Here two railway trackmen have died after being hit by a train. The incident took place in Vidisha district of MP where two railway trackmen were hit by an express train. The accident occurred on Monday near Kulhar railway station, about 60 km from the district headquarters. Both the deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Manoj Sen and 55-year-old Mohammad Haroon. The accident happened when both were on duty. Meanwhile, the train hit both of them, resulting in their death.

Bina sub-divisional officer police (SDOP) Manoj Mishra said the victims, Manoj Sen and Mohammad Haroon, were working on the track when the Rajya Rani Express hit them. He told that after the incident the train got delayed by about half an hour. Railway Senior Section Engineer Manish Sharma said that the family of the deceased will get immediate assistance of Rs 40 thousand.

Earlier, a compartment of Geeta Jayanti Express train caught fire in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning. The official said there was no casualty in the incident and the fire was brought under control immediately. A fire broke out in a coach of the train at around 7.30 am near Ishanagar police station, 25 km from the district headquarters. Station Master Ashish Yadav said that due to this incident the train arrived late by about an hour.

Geeta Jayanti Express running between Kurukshetra and Khajuraho had to stop for two minutes at Ishanagar station. The official said that as Geeta Jayanti Express (11842) moved ahead, railway staff saw smoke coming out from the D5 coach of the train. He said that the railway employees immediately brought the fire under control using fire extinguishers.

Yadav said that the fire broke out due to heating of rubber at the bottom of the compartment. He told that there was no damage of any kind to the compartment.
