Investigation is going on into the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. The police is busy searching for the attackers who are out of custody. Currently, there are 3 such suspects for whom police teams have left for different areas of the country. He is said to be the main conspirator of this murder. Police officers gave some important information on the condition of anonymity. He told that one of the accused is Shivkumar Gautam from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh and the other is Shubham Lonkar, a resident of Pune. Both of them were part of the plan under which this brutal murder was carried out on Saturday evening. Suspected handler Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar is also wanted in the case.

According to the report, Shiv Kumar Gautam opened fire which resulted in the death of Siddiqui. Praveen Lonkar, arrested from Pune, had hired Gautam, who roped in 2 others for the attack. An officer said Dharamraj Kashyap and Gurmail Singh were with Gautam when he opened fire. After this, they ran in different directions to dodge the police team engaged in security of Siddiqui. Dharamraj and Gurmel were arrested shortly afterwards.
These three accused have been arrested
Six rounds of bullets were fired at former Maharashtra minister Siddiqui, out of which two bullets hit his chest. The incident took place between 9:15 and 9:30 pm on Saturday night outside the office of Baba Siddiqui’s MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Nirmal Nagar. Police have so far arrested 3 suspects in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. Gurmel Baljeet Singh, 23, resident of Haryana, Dharamraj Rajesh Kashyap, 19, resident of Uttar Pradesh and Praveen Lonkar, resident of Pune and co-conspirator. There is still a search for three accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case.
Police searching places of worship
Mumbai Police has formed 15 teams in search of the three suspects, which apart from Maharashtra, are focusing on Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar. Police teams from Mumbai and MP are searching places of worship in Ujjain and Khandwa, including Mahakal and Omkareshwar temples. Khandwa Police official said that the attackers arrested by Mumbai Police told during interrogation that they had gone to some religious places. He said that there is a possibility that the accused may visit these places again while absconding. Mumbai Police’s search for suspected attacker Shivkumar Gautam continued in Madhya Pradesh for the second day on Monday, officials said. The joint team kept an eye on places of worship in Ujjain and Khandwa districts.
Search going on in different areas
When asked whether the escaped shooter was a religious person who could come to these famous temples? The police officer, while avoiding giving a direct answer, said that the police is keeping an eye on other places also. Khandwa is not far from Amravati and Jalgaon in Maharashtra. Ujjain police officer said that the team from Mumbai is in the district. Till now they have not been able to find any clue. A day after Siddiqui was shot dead, the Mumbai Police team reached Madhya Pradesh. Police are also investigating a social media post by an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang confessing to the murder of Siddiqui. Police are also investigating other aspects in the case.
