Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav followed the eternal tradition of Kanya Puja and Kanya Bhoj at the Chief Minister’s residence on the Mahanavami of Shardiya Navratri. Showing his immense reverence towards mother power, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav today washed the feet of nine Durga-like virgin girls and worshiped them with rituals. He respectfully draped the girls’ chunari and performed the aarti. During the puja, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav kept talking to the girls and caressed them.
After Kanya Puja, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav served food to the girls with his own hands. During the Kanya Banquet, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav lovingly served the food items to the girls and also fed them sweets as per their interest. After the Kanya Bhoj, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav took blessings of all the girls by giving them Dakshina and gifts.
