Digital boundary will be created to mark the boundaries of wildlife areas of Madhya Pradesh. The digital boundary will be prepared by the Revenue Department, in which the DFOs of the forest divisions will cooperate. The Revenue Department will display this digital boundary in its computerized maps. This will reveal to what extent there are eco-sensitive zones and revenue lands near the boundaries of wildlife areas. This digital boundary will be drawn on the map within the next two months.
this will be profit
The benefit of this will be that for setting up activities like tourist accommodation, resorts etc. in wildlife areas, it will be possible to see through digital boundaries in the computerized records of the Revenue Department where these activities can be allowed. For this, an agreement has been reached between the Forest and Revenue Departments and the Revenue Department has to display this digital boundary in its computerized maps within the next two months.
hence the need arose
There are eco-sensitive zones in 11 national parks, seven tiger reserves and 24 wildlife sanctuaries under the forest department. Mining and construction are completely prohibited in wildlife areas, whereas construction in eco-sensitive zones is regulated.
dispute can be avoided
In the dispute over revenue and forest land, not only the common people are affected, but the officials also get entangled in the court process. In such a situation, by fixing the boundary of the forest area and recording it in the map, the situation of dispute can be avoided to a great extent. Apart from this, there will also be a ban on illegal activities in the eco-sensitive zone bordering the Tiger Reserve and Sanctuary. The state government is alert regarding the protection of the forest. This is the reason why the Commissioner and Collector have been entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the eco-sensitive zone.
The boundaries of eco-sensitive zones will be fixed.
The boundaries of the eco-sensitive zone of Madhya Pradesh have not been decided yet. Outside the boundary of the Tiger Reserve, there is an eco-sensitive zone of one kilometer at some places and more than one kilometer at many places. Revenue areas are also included in some boundaries. These boundaries are also recorded in the revenue map and forest department map. Since most of the works are banned in eco-sensitive zones, this often leads to disputes. Now a digital boundary will be created by determining the boundary of the eco-sensitive zone and recording it on the map. For this the help of satellite images will be taken.
