According to police, after the arrest of Indian MFI agent Parvez Ahmed alias Farvez, investigators called the Pakistani national to Bengaluru. Parvez is from Uttar Pradesh and resident of Mumbai. He had come to Bengaluru to provide legal assistance to the families, where he was arrested.

“After arresting Parvez, we used him to call other Pakistani nationals to Bengaluru and lure them to resolve their issues,” said an officer from Jigani police station. Trusting Parvez, they came to Bengaluru and then arrests were made.” On September 29, a family of four Pakistani nationals living under the Hindu surname ‘Sharma’ was arrested from the outskirts of Bengaluru.

The family was living in Rajapura for the last six years. Following this arrest, another three-member family living in North Bengaluru near Peenya was traced, which also included a 13-year-old girl.
