Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony. Despite having a fracture in his hand, Mithun Chakraborty himself came to receive the award and on this occasion he could not stop himself from getting emotional. After Mithun Chakraborty’s name was announced, he got up from his chair with support and then President Draupadi Murmu honored him on the stage. After receiving this honour, Mithun Chakraborty greeted President Murmu and all the people sitting in the audience. God has given all that back to me. “I’m still trying to accept this reality.” The news of Mithun Chakraborty receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award has come just a few months after he received the Padma Shri.
When Mithun Chakraborty told about his past
Mithun Chakraborty said in a conversation with India Today, “In the initial days, money was a constant need for me, I had a big family which I had to take care of. So this was a very big area for me. But now times have changed. I don’t think about those things.
