State Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the inauguration ceremony of Jal Jagar Mahotsav organized at Gangrel Dam in Ravi Shankar reservoir of Dhamtari district as the chief guest. The Chief Minister described the celebration of Jal Jagar Mahotsav by the district administration Dhamtari as an exemplary initiative. He said that water is being over-exploited, but no attention is paid to water conservation. The water level in Dhamtari district was also going down, but Jal Jagar has brought about a positive and revolutionary change, for which the district administration deserves congratulations.

If you are determined then it is no big deal

Chief Minister Sai, in a program organized at Ravi Shankar Reservoir, Gangrel Dam, while remembering the deities of the area, congratulated the people on Navratri. He said that if any person is determined to do great things then it is not a big deal. Our work is to fulfill the Prime Minister’s resolve to provide tap water to every home in a quality manner under the Jaljeevan Mission. He said that Niyad Nella Naar scheme is being run for the tribals of Maoist affected areas, positive results of which are being seen. The government is committed to ending Naxalism.

The initiative is exemplary not only for the state but for the entire country.

The Prime Minister has given the message by providing water to every home under the Jaljeevan Mission. Everyone has to understand the value and importance of water. He explained the importance of water through Chhattisgarhi song.

Create a people’s movement for water conservation

Former cabinet minister and Kurud MLA Ajay Chandrakar said that this is an innovative program in itself. Despite having 04 big reservoirs in Dhamtari district, the falling groundwater level here is a matter of concern. Water conservation through community participation is commendable and it has to be made a people’s movement.
