13 FSSAI test of Laddoo Prasad of Mahakaleshwar temple of Ujjain, pass or fail?


Amid the Tirupati Prasad controversy, the Laddoo Prasad of Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain has crossed 13 parameters of food safety rules. Due to this there is a wave of happiness among the devotees. Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta said that Lord Mahakal’s Laddu Prasad was put through 13 different types of tests conducted by some recognized laboratories of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

The laddu prasad of Mahakaleshwar temple passed all these tests. He told that Prasad has four main ingredients – pure ghee, gram flour, rava and sugar… The most expensive ingredient among these is pure ghee. 40 metric tons of ghee is being used every day in making Prasad. This ghee is produced by Ujjain Milk Union, a cooperative organization of the state government. There is a wave of happiness among the devotees after the news of Prasad passing 13 FSSAI tests.

According to the report, a devotee got the (Mahakaleshwar Temple) laddu prasad tested at a laboratory approved by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The authority conducted 13 separate investigations. It is a matter of great pleasure that the Prasad met all the 13 criteria (ghee, gram flour, sugar and rava).

Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta said that this ghee is made by Ujjain Milk Union, a cooperative organization of the state government. Gupta also requested that Tirupati Devasthan use Sanchi ghee produced by Ujjain Milk Union. Full credit goes to the management committee of Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple for meeting all the criteria of Lord Mahakal’s Laddoo Prasad. This committee maintains the quality of the Prasad.
