Actor Shivaji Satam, who played the role of ACP Pradyuman in CID, recently remembered some old things about Sanjay Dutt. He said how Sanjay Dutt had told him a heart-touching thing amidst the allegations related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, amidst the shooting and long-running court hearings. Let us tell you that Sanjay Dutt was facing serious allegations regarding the bomb blasts in Mumbai in 1993. Although he was later acquitted of the related charges, he was sentenced to six years under the Arms Act for possessing illegal weapons.
Used to go for hearing during day and shooting at night
Speaking to Friday Talkies, Shivaji recalled the shooting of the film in which the actor played a cameo role. He said that Sanju had to go to court during the shooting of that film. I played the role of a daughter in that film, whose last wish is to see Sanjay Dutt. He used to go to court hearings during the day and then after finishing them, he would come late at 2 o’clock in the night for the shooting of the film. After that we really got to work. Sanju was innocent, even at that time he did not have feelings about becoming a star.

Shivaji told that Sanjay Dutt had always told him that the bag full of weapons found was planted for him. Recalling what happened during the incident, Shivaji said, ‘He is actually very weak. I remember he used to say, Shiva, what should I do now, this bag has come, I am stuck. On this I used to tell him that Baba, nothing will happen, you stay like this. We did four to five films together. He is a very nice and big hearted person.
The CID actor told that he had invited Sanjay Dutt and some other friends for dinner. At that time Sanjay was using the latest mobile phone. This caught my eye and I praised it. Later, when lunch was over, Sanjay took out the SIM card of the mobile and gave the device to me. Sanjay said keep it, I have another one.
