Prasad counter started at Achaleshwar temple like Mahakal

Controversy going on regarding adulteration and purity of Prasad

Complaints about adulteration in the Prasad available in the temple premises were continuously coming to the fore. Last month, the Food Department team visited Ashtamahalakshmi located at Jaurasi. Samples of Prasad found outside the temple premises were also taken. After this, the Trust of Mahalakshmi Temple has banned offering prasad made of khoya and gram flour. Only dry fruits and coconut can be offered in the temple.

Prasad being made in the premises

Now making gram flour laddus of pure desi ghee and making it available to the devotees in the temple premises itself has started from Thursday evening. Initially pure ghee of a branded company is being used for the prasad and it is manufactured by the confectioner of Danaoli, Nataraj. The auditorium is being monitored. The devotees are very fond of the Prasad of the temple.

On an experimental basis, 250 gram and half kilo containers have been prepared.

As an experiment, the Temple Steering Committee has made packets of gram flour laddus of half kilo and 250 grams on the first day. Laddus available from the temple are being given at Rs 400 per kg.
