‘Go back’ slogans raised against Bangladesh cricket team in Gwalior, Hindu Mahasabha workers detained


Hindu Mahasabha staged a strong demonstration as soon as the Bangladesh cricket team arrived in Gwalior on Wednesday. Hindu Mahasabha had warned that their people would protest against the arrival of the Bangladesh team. The police administration was also alert about his threat. Nevertheless, many workers of Hindu Mahasabha took to the streets carrying flags. These people also raised slogans of go back to Bangladesh. It is said that many workers proceeded towards the stadium to dig the pitch but the police took them into custody.

It is said that the workers of Hindu Mahasabha proceeded towards the International Cricket Stadium in protest. They wanted to dig the pitch, but as soon as Maharaj reached the enclosure, the police took everyone into custody. Later, the police arrested all the workers of Hindu Mahasabha for disturbing peace. Hindu Mahasabha has warned of protesting on 6th also.

Meanwhile, National Vice President of Hindu Mahasabha Jaiveer Bhardwaj said that Hindus are being persecuted in Bangladesh but Hindu organizations are sitting silent. Let us tell you that an international T20 cricket match will be played between India and Bangladesh on 6 October in Gwalior. This match was to be held in Dharamshala on 6 October, but due to the ongoing renovation there, it was held in Gwalior. For this, teams from India and Bangladesh have reached Gwalior.

Police and administration are on alert to ensure that there is no disruption in the event. Gwalior Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ashok Jadon said- Hindu Mahasabha was provided a platform to protest and a memorandum was taken from them. There was no permission to protest today. If this worsens the law and order situation in future, we will take strict action. We have arrested around 20 protesters. Action will also be taken against the vehicles involved in the rally.
