This is Gautami’s 10th international medal
Gautami participated in the event with Ajay Malik and both of them won the bronze medal for India with their excellent performance. This is Gautami’s fifth international championship in which this is her 10th international medal. Ajay Malik accompanied him in the mixed team. Ajay has been trained in Jabalpur under the training program Project Leap.
Search for medal in individual category today
Gautami will aim for a medal in the individual category of 10m air rifle junior women’s category of the championship on Tuesday. This international shooter, who is topping the rankings in the junior women’s category, had won gold medals in the last two World Championships. Gautami is very excited about getting the bronze medal in the mixed team event and will be looking for another medal for the country with her accurate aim on Tuesday.
Preparation for World Championship since 1 year
Gautami had been sweating profusely in the shooting range for the last one year for this World Championship. Under the coaching of her international coach Nishant Nathwani, she practiced for 6 hours for accurate aim at the Gun for Glory Range in Jabalpur. Before leaving for Lima, she was trained for a week by two world class trainers from Bengaluru at the Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi. Special training was also given. In this training, special attention was given to physical fitness.
