Zakir Naik, wanted in India, gets grand welcome in Pakistan, big personalities lined up


Islamic preacher Zakir Naik has reached Pakistan. Here he received a grand welcome and met big political personalities. The special thing is that Nike is also included in the list of wanted in India. It is reported that Naik will remain in Pakistan for some time and will participate in programs. Recently he had appealed to the Muslim community to unite against the proposed Waqf Board Bill in India.

According to media reports, Naik was welcomed with a red carpet. He reached the capital Islamabad on Monday and will stay in the country till October 28. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Ata-ur-Rehman, Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Shamsher Mazari and many others had come to welcome Naik.

After this Naik also shared a picture with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. It is reported that Naik will give speeches in front of the public in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. He has been living in Malaysia since 2016. At present, India has requested for his extradition, but Malaysia has not agreed to it.

Naik is wanted by India for alleged money laundering cases and inciting extremism through hate speeches. He left India in 2016. The Islamic preacher was granted permanent residency in Malaysia by the previous government led by Mahathir Mohamad.

Recently, Naik had called on Indian Muslims on social media to reject the Waqf Amendment Bill, following which Union Minister Kiren Rijiju warned him on social media against interfering in the Waqf Amendment Bill debate.
