Like every year, this time also special trains have been announced by the Railways for smooth movement of passengers during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja. According to the information shared by Indian Railways, 519 special trains will be operated this year. These special trains will be operated between October 1 and November 30. Railways says that this year there has been a huge increase in the number of special trains.

Announcement of six special trains

In this series, South East Central Railway will also operate six special trains on the occasion of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. These include 08893 Gondia – Santragachhi Durga Puja Special, 08894 Santragachhi – Gondia, Durga Puja Special, 08895 Gondia – Chhapra Chhath Puja Special, 08896 Chhapra – Gondia Chhath Puja Special, 08897 Gondia – Patna Chhath Puja Special, 08898 Patna – Gondia Chhath Puja Special. Are included.

These trains will make rounds

1- 08893 Gondia – Santragachi Durga Puja Special, (2 trips, from Gondia on October 4 and 9)

2- 08894 Santragachi – Gondia, Durga Puja Special, (2 trips, from Santragachi on 5th and 10th October)

3- 08895 Gondia – Chhapra Chhath Puja Special, (2 trips, from Gondia on 3rd and 4th November)

4- 08896 Chhapra – Gondia Chhath Puja Special, (2 trips, from Chhapra on 4th and 5th November)

5- 08897 Gondia – Patna Chhath Puja Special, (2 trips, from Gondia on 3rd and 4th November)

6- 08898 Patna – Gondia Chhath Puja Special, (2 trips from Patna on 4th and 5th November).

Special trains will make approximately 6000 trips

It is noteworthy that lakhs of passengers travel during the festivals of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. To provide easy and comfortable travel to the huge crowd of passengers, Railways has made preparations to operate special trains this year also. During a period of two months, these special trains will make approximately 6000 trips and will transport a large number of passengers to their destination.

Made 4,429 rounds last year

Last year too, a large number of festival special trains were operated by Indian Railways and these trains made a total of 4,429 trips, through which lakhs of passengers got comfortable travel facilities.

Obviously, every year on the occasion of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja, a large number of people from across the country move towards Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. For the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, these festivals not only have religious significance but are also an important occasion to meet families. Every year during festivals, due to rush of passengers, tickets in most of the trains go on waiting list two-three months in advance. Keeping this in view, this year also special trains are being operated by the Railways on the occasion of festivals.
