A tripartite review meeting was held between the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and the Central Government regarding the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal ERCP Link Project at the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi. In the meeting, Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and senior officials of the central and state governments were present.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that work on river linking campaign is going on in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this direction, work is being done on a large scale on the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal ERCP link project between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. With the cooperation of the Central Government, both the states have resolved the 20 year old dispute and soon positive results of this project will be seen. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed hope that the coming times are going to be unique for the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Sharma said that the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) contract of Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal ERCP Link Project is about to be signed. Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are working together in the interest of both the states.
