Enforcement Directorate took major action against Elvish Yadav and singer Rahul Fazilpuria, seized property

New Delhi
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action against famous YouTuber Elvish Yadav and singer Rahul Fazilpuria. ED has seized the properties of both of them in UP-Haryana. ED has taken this action under the money laundering case. Official sources said an order has been issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED has questioned Elvish Yadav and others several times in the last few months in a case related to the use of snake venom in rave parties and financial transactions related to it.

The ED had registered a case against Elvish and others in May and filed charges under the PMLA after taking cognizance of the FIR and charge sheet filed against him and people associated with him by Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) district police. Haryana singer Rahul Yadav alias Rahul Fazilpuriya, who allegedly has links with Elvish Yadav, was also questioned by the ED in this case. Elvish Yadav was arrested on March 17 by the Noida Police in connection with the investigation into the suspected use of snake venom as a drug at parties. Reality show Bigg Boss OTT-3 winner and controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav was booked by Noida Police under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Elvish was among six people named in the FIR lodged at Sector 49 police station in Noida on November 3 last year on the complaint of a representative of animal rights NGO People for Animals (PFA). Five other accused, all snake charmers, were arrested in November and were later granted bail by a local court. Five snake charmers were arrested from a banquet hall in Noida on November 3 last year and nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued from their possession, while 20 milliliters of suspected snake venom was also seized. However, the police had said that Elvish was not present at the banquet hall and they were investigating his role in the case of allegedly using snake venom as drugs. In April, Noida Police had filed an over 1,200-page chargesheet in the case. Police had said that these allegations include smuggling of snakes, use of drugs and organizing rave parties.
