A new Chief Justice was appointed in Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday. His name is Justice Suresh Kumar Kait. Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath to him in a ceremony at Raj Bhavan. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and other cabinet ministers were also present on this occasion. Justice Suresh Kumar has become the 28th Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh. Justice Kait was earlier serving as the senior Justice of Delhi High Court. It is being told that Justice Suresh’s tenure in Madhya Pradesh High Court will be of 6 months.
Education and advocacy
Justice Suresh Kait hails from Kaithal district of Haryana. He did post graduation in political science from Kurukshetra University. After this, he studied law from Delhi University. In 1989, he registered as a lawyer. After this, he was appointed as a permanent lawyer of the Central Government in the year 2004. Let us tell you that Justice Suresh has also been a panel lawyer of UPSC and Railways.
Services in Delhi High Court
Justice Suresh Kait was appointed as an additional judge in the Delhi High Court in 2008. After this, he got promoted in the year 2013 and became a permanent judge. Justice Suresh’s name is also in the hearing of big cases. He has also heard the cases of Jamia violence in Delhi and protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Justice Suresh is known for giving decisions with a fair and balanced approach.
