131 patients benefited from Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme in 9 months in Bilaspur

Khiyal Das Lalwani, the head of the Lalwani family, a resident of Hemunagar in Bilaspur, has been sanctioned financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme for the treatment of a serious kidney disease. Now his treatment is going on and the family has heaved a sigh of relief. The Lalwani family has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for his sensitive initiative.

The Lalwani family was devastated when the sole earning member of the family was afflicted with a serious kidney disease. The serious illness of the head of the family, who ran the family with his small business in Budhwari Bazaar, took away the happiness of the entire family. Mrs. Laxmi Lalwani, wife of Khiyal Das Lalwani, emotionally told that in the last 6 years, their savings were exhausted in the costly medical expenses, the education of two daughters started getting affected. In this situation, it became difficult to bear the expenses of higher education of the daughters and I had to take over the business, although I was always a housewife.

Mrs. Lalwani told that the daughters fulfilled the necessary expenses of the family by teaching tuition at home along with their studies, but it was very difficult for them to bear the costly expenses of dialysis. In such a situation, she got information about this scheme, and after applying, the assistance amount was approved immediately. Now her husband is getting treatment easily. Mrs. Lalwani says that her husband has got a new life due to this sensitive scheme of the Chief Minister, she expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and said that this assistance amount has helped many families like hers in overcoming this sudden problem.

It is noteworthy that under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh is given for the treatment of serious diseases. So far 636 people in the district have received benefits under the scheme, and this year 131 patients of the district have been benefited under the scheme.
