New Delhi/ Raipur
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reiterated that the central government, in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh government, is committed to making the state free from Naxal violence in the next one and a half years.

While addressing these people, the Home Minister assured them that the Central and State Governments will jointly formulate plans for their welfare and the development of the region and implement them. He appealed to the people involved in Naxal violence to give up arms and join the mainstream and said that the government is ready to provide all possible help for their welfare and the development of their region. He said that if the Naxals do not give up the path of violence, the government has launched a campaign to end this ideology and he is confident that the Naxal problem will be eradicated from Chhattisgarh in the next one and a half years.

The Home Minister told the people who came to meet him that they should meet different organisations and people in the capital and also present their views before the media.
