President Smt. Draupadi Murmu met and interacted with the sculptors who make stone idols at Shrimahakal Lok in Ujjain today and described the idols made by them as excellent. The President met and interacted with sculptors Ishwar Chandra Maharana, Sculptor Aditya Maharana, Sculptor Suresh Kumar Ojha, Sculptor Akshay Kumar Maharana at Triveni Sabha Mandapam. All the sculptors belong to Puri district of Odisha state. When the President interacted with the sculptors, all the craftsmen were very excited. Their eyes filled with joy.
President Smt. Murmu while talking to the craftsmen said that you are making a statue in Shrimahakal Lok, this is a matter of pride for the whole country and especially for the state of Odisha. She took detailed information about the work being done by the craftsmen. The President told the craftsmen that everyone studies, but not everyone has the art. The work being done by you is very commendable. During this, President Smt. Murmu honored the craftsmen by presenting them shawls and coconuts. The craftsmen presented a stone Shivalinga to the President.
President Murmu reached Ujjain at 10 am. She visited the sanctum sanctorum of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and took blessings. Cymbals and damru were played in her welcome and the entire temple was decorated with flowers. President Murmu praised the work of sanitation workers and said that I thank the Swachhata Mitras on behalf of all the countrymen. It is because of you that this Swachhata Abhiyan has become widespread. She also praised the cleanliness of Indore.

CM Mohan Yadav presented a symbol of Mahakal Lok to President Murmu in memory of his visit to Madhya Pradesh. The temple was specially decorated to welcome him. From the entrance to Mahakal Lok, flowers were decorated everywhere. A folk dance troupe also performed at Mahakal Lok.
Visited the sanctum sanctorum and did darshan-pujan
President Murmu was welcomed with Swasti recitation and Shankh playing at the Nandi gate of Mahakal Lok. After this, he went to the sanctum sanctorum and performed Darshan-Pujan. He also did Shramdaan in the temple premises under the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada. After seeing Mahakal Lok, President Murmu interacted with the sculptors who made the idol in the Triveni Sabha-Mandapam. During this, CM Mohan said in his speech that it is a matter of pride for us that His Excellency has come to Ujjain.
One lakh rupees will be given to each craftsman: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
In Shrimahakal Lok, craftsmen are making idols of Shiva, lotus, sapta rishis etc. Most of the work of making idols is on the verge of completion. Craftsmen have built many stone idols and temples across the country. Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav were present. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that these craftsmen will be given an amount of one lakh rupees each as an incentive.
