In Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, miscreants carried out a robbery in broad daylight. The incident took place at MP Gramin Vikas Bank in Chitakheda village, about 25 km from the district headquarters. Two miscreants came to the bank on a bike and started firing indiscriminately. When the security guard of the bank tried to stop the robbers by putting his life at risk, he was beaten up. Two women including the security guard were injured. The miscreants fled after looting Rs 71 thousand.
The miscreants fired bullets indiscriminately
Two criminals came to Chitakheda’s MP Gramin Vikas Bank on a bike and started firing bullets. In the CCTV, both the criminals are seen with cloth tied on their faces. People were stunned by the sudden firing in the bank. Meanwhile, the bank’s peon Bansilal Dayama tried to stop the robbers but he got injured in the fight. In the firing, Jumma Bai, wife of Shantilal and Mangi Bai, wife of Prahlad Meena of village Bhimpur got shot. Due to this, three people including the peon got injured.
Police reached the scene of the incident
On receiving information about the bank robbery, Chitakheda outpost in-charge ASI Virendra Singh Bisen and Jiran police station in-charge Manoj Singh Jadoun reached the spot with the force. Police found cartridge shells inside and outside the bank. On the basis of CCTV footage and the empty cartridges found, the police have furthered the investigation. It is being told that Chitakheda village is located on the border of Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan. There is a dense forest around it. In such a situation, it is being speculated that the criminals have fled towards Rajasthan.
Loss of life and property and search for the robbers
Neemuch Superintendent of Police Ankit Jaiswal said that the bank’s watchman and two female customers were injured in the firing. It has just come to light that they fled with Rs 71,000 from the cash counter. After committing the crime, the criminals fled towards Rajasthan. Police teams are chasing the accused. Some footage of the route has also surfaced. It is also coming to light that the criminals might have first done a recce of the bank and then committed the crime. The police has dispatched four teams to catch the criminals.
