Neeraj Chopra missed out on winning the gold medal by just 1 centimeter in the Diamond League final. Neeraj, who won the silver medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, threw the best throw of 87.86 meters in the Diamond League 2024 final and managed to win the silver medal. Anderson Peters of Grenada won the gold medal by throwing 87.87 meters.

26-year-old Neeraj Chopra shared a picture of his fractured hands on Instagram and wrote, ‘I was injured during practice on Monday and the ‘X-ray’ revealed that I have a fracture in the bone (fourth metacarpal) of my left hand. This was another painful challenge for me but with the help of my team I was able to participate in Brussels. This was the last tournament of the year. I could not live up to my own expectations. But I think this was a session in which I learned a lot. Now I am fully fit and ready to return and play.’

Neeraj Chopra is struggling with fitness problems during this time. Neeraj Chopra further wrote in the post that ‘The 2024 season is over, so I look back at all the things I learned throughout the year, including improvements, failures, mindset and more. I want to thank you all for your encouragement. 2024 has made me a better athlete and human being. See you in 2025.’
