To increase investment in Madhya Pradesh, Mohan government is going to hold an interaction session in Kolkata on 20 September. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will discuss with industrialists for investment in this session. He will also invite them for the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal in February. ITC Chairman Sanjeev Puri will also participate in the interaction session.
The company has sent its consent for participation to the government. The CM will discuss with them about investment in hotels and other sectors including FMCG. Companies like Steel Authority of India, Coal India, Emami, Usha Martin etc. have also been invited. MPIDC officials said that the summit will be held at Hotel JW Marriot in Kolkata.
First of all there will be the main program. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will address it. He will tell the investors about the investment possibilities in various sectors in MP. There will also be presentations from departments like Industry, MSME, Tourism, IT etc. In these, investors will be informed about the facilities and policies provided by the government in the state.
Chief Minister will hold one to one discussions with industrialists
The programme will enable investors to participate in one-to-one discussions with key stakeholders and network with industry representatives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will hold one-to-one meetings with industrialists and lunch with CEOs. The government has started a single window system to facilitate industrialists. Government hurdles can be easily overcome through the single window system. Industrialists from Mumbai, Coimbatore and Bangalore have agreed to invest in Madhya Pradesh through interactive sessions.
Many industrialists have also signed MoUs to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh’s strong industrial infrastructure, natural resources, adequate land bank, network of roads, connectivity with all major states are being told to investors to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh. Next year, efforts will be made to promote industrial development in mission mode.
CM will have one-to-one discussions with industrialists including ITC Chairman Sanjeev Puri. ITC is a big player in the fast moving consumer goods sector as well as personal care, education, stationery, agriculture and hotel sectors. 500 companies of cement, IT and textile will also participate.

Interactive sessions…have been held in Mumbai, Coimbatore and Bangalore.
Regional Conclave… Regional Conclaves have already been held in Ujjain, Jabalpur and Gwalior. It will be held in Sagar on 27 September.
This has received investment proposals worth Rs 1.80 lakh crore.
