Actually on 7 September, the police received information that the body of an unknown person was lying near the Budera Gangau pond of Thana Budera. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took the body in their possession and started identifying it. Police investigation revealed that the name of the deceased was Lakhan Raikwar. On the basis of the post-mortem report, the police found that Lakhan Raikwar was murdered by strangulation. The police registered a case under section 103 of DS in the related case and started searching for the accused.
It was no less than a challenge for the Tikamgarh police to solve this murder. Superintendent of Police of Tikamgarh district Rohit Keshwani formed a team. After this, the police took Lakhan Raikwar’s friend Dinesh Raikwar into custody due to suspicion. When the police interrogated Dinesh Raikwar strictly, he told that he had killed Lakhan Raikwar by strangulating him.
During police interrogation, Dinesh Raikwar told that Lakhan Raikwar and I were addicted to online rummy circle. He told that both of us had placed a bet of 5 thousand rupees together. We lost the money invested in it. Dinesh Raikwar wanted half of the bet, that is, two and a half thousand rupees from Lakhan Raikwar. He refused to give the remaining money. After this, Dinesh got angry and killed Lakhan by strangulating him and threw his body in the forest and went away. During interrogation, the accused told that he used to play the game through the online game app Rummy Circle from his mobile. So far he had lost about one and a half lakh rupees in this game.
