Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jai Shah has said that from now on the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup will be played every two years. According to Jai Shah, the start of this new tournament will also give the youth an opportunity to prepare for the T20 World Cup. The decision to organize this tournament was taken in the meeting of the Executive Board of ACC chaired by Shah. This tournament is being started so that the emerging women cricketers of Asia can get the experience of competing on the international stage. This will also enable them to perform better in ICC tournaments.

This decision will also help women’s cricket to move forward. Shah said, “The launch of the Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup is a great achievement which will provide a world-class platform to young women cricketers to develop their skills and showcase their talent. Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in 2025

The next Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in 2025. Its schedule was released earlier by the ICC. A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. All the teams have been divided into four groups, with four teams in one group.

Group A: India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Malaysia

Group B: England, Pakistan, Ireland, USA

Group C: New Zealand, South Africa, Africa qualifier, Samoa

Group D: Australia, Bangladesh, Asia Qualifier, Scotland
