Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang has directed that the participation of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department should be ensured in ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ organized from 17 September to 2 October. During this, a calendar should be prepared by incorporating various programs and activities. Minister Shri Sarang was reviewing the department at TT Nagar Stadium. Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Smita Bhardwaj Ghate and Sports Director Shri Ravi Kumar Gupta, Joint Director Shri B.S. Yadav and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
Minister Shri Sarang said that to give more impetus to the Swachh Bharat Mission campaign, this year the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2024’ fortnight will be celebrated from 17 September to 2 October with the theme ‘Swabhaav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata’. Madhya Pradesh is working to make this campaign successful with full commitment. Minister Shri Sarang said that at least three programs should be included in it through the participation of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Also, activities should be conducted in collaboration with the Youth Coordinator every day of the campaign period. Programs should also be held at the district level with the cooperation of public representatives and citizens.
Minister Shri Sarang said that public awareness and participation of citizens should be encouraged on a large scale through various campaigns and activities. He said that various activities should be carried out in the sports complex from cleanliness to plantation of trees.
