On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the salary of doctors posted in scheduled and non-scheduled areas has been increased by 46 percent. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and the Health Department have taken a big step.
There has been a historic increase in the salary of everyone from senior resident to professors in government medical colleges. Professors will now get Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand in scheduled areas and Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand in non-scheduled areas. There has been a salary increase of about 46 percent in scheduled areas and about 23 percent in non-scheduled areas.
