The Indian men’s team made a great start in the 45th Chess Olympiad by defeating Morocco 4-0. After this, the Indian women’s team registered a victory over Jamaica 3.5-0.5.
World Championship Challenger D Gukesh has taken a break from the first round. R Praggnanandhaa started by defeating Thisir Mohammed. Vidit Gujrathi, Arjun Erigesi and P Harikrishna also won their respective matches. In the women’s category, R Vaishali, Divya Deshmukh and Tania Sachdev were victorious while Vantika Agarwal played a draw.
