Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Saw left for the US late on Monday night on a nine-day study tour on the invitation of the Asian Development Bank. Public Works Department Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh is also accompanying him. Both left for the US on Monday night at 11:30 pm on the New Delhi-New York flight. They will reach New York on Tuesday morning at 06:20 am as per US time.
During his US study tour, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw will visit road projects in New York, Washington, California and San Francisco and gain knowledge of road construction techniques. During this period, he will also participate in a workshop-cum-training organised by the Asian Development Bank. There he will discuss advanced road projects as well as good quality road construction and their implementation in Chhattisgarh. Mr. Saw will return to India on September 18.
