Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Ujjain is rapidly progressing towards industrialization. Textile industry will play an important role in women empowerment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to prepare a project to promote textile industry in Malwa region and also to ensure all necessary arrangements by the police administration for women safety in industries.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited Best Lifestyle Industries (Textile Industry) located at Nagjhiri in Ujjain on Tuesday. He observed the textile manufacturing work being done by more than 1000 women here. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also praised the work of the working women by having a cordial discussion with them. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also operated the machine. More than 1000 women working in the industry thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for providing employment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed with the women artisans preparing clothes about salary and family. Women artisans said that they are satisfied with getting employment. Now there is no difficulty in running the family and we have become self-reliant.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed in detail with the officials in the Best Lifestyle office regarding the industrial development activities in Ujjain. He said that rapid efforts should be made towards making Ujjain a medical tourism destination. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that land should be made available soon for investment in the proposals received from the country’s leading industrialists who wish to set up their industrial units in Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that like Bengaluru, an IT park should also be established in Ujjain so that IT engineers of Malwa can get employment and Ujjain can become a hub of start-ups. He directed the district administration to allocate land for the IT park soon.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the clothes being prepared in Ujjain’s Best Apparel Park are of high quality and international standard. The clothes prepared here are being exported to countries like America, Canada etc., due to which Ujjain is emerging as an industrial area at the international level. Ujjain’s prosperous textile industry is now being revived. The skill of Ujjain’s women is being praised all over the world. Along with this, he directed that night shift should also be started soon in Best Apparel Park, so that more women can be provided employment. He said that like Indore, readymade complex, plug and play industrial park should be developed in Ujjain too. He directed to expand the success of Vikram Udyog further. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also talked about encouraging farmers for cotton cultivation and said that to increase the income of farmers, raw material should be taken from local level in industries.

In the meeting, Best Life Style’s Vice President Mr. Puneet Jain told that Best Life’s unit in Ujjain is one of the largest textile industry units in the country. More than 1 lakh garments are being manufactured here every day. An investment of Rs 358 crore has been made in Ujjain’s Best Life Style, due to which more than 1000 women are getting employment, which is being increased to 4000 women.

Executive Director MPIDC presented the roadmap for industrial development in Ujjain in the meeting, in which information was mainly given about accelerating the proposed IT Park, Readymade Complex, Plug and Play and Vikram Udyogpuri expansion plan. On this occasion, MLA Mr. Anil Jain Kaluhera, Mayor Mr. Mukesh Tatwal, Mr. Vivek Joshi along with other public representatives and officials were present.
