Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday discussed various issues including his recent visit to Ukraine in a phone conversation with US President Joe Biden. The Prime Minister reiterated that India will fully cooperate to bring peace and stability in the region at the earliest. The two leaders also discussed the situation in Bangladesh and emphasized the need to restore normalcy at the earliest and ensure the safety of minorities, especially Hindus.
Modi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “We discussed in detail various regional and global issues, including the situation in Ukraine. I reiterated India’s full support for the early restoration of peace and stability.” Modi said, “We also discussed the situation in Bangladesh and emphasized the need for early restoration of normalcy and ensuring the safety of minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh.”
An official statement said that Modi discussed his recent visit to Ukraine in a conversation with Biden. According to the statement, in a phone conversation, Prime Minister Modi and Biden reiterated their commitment to further strengthen multilateral cooperation, including the ‘Quad’.
The statement said that Prime Minister Modi and President Biden underlined that the India-US partnership is aimed at benefiting the people of both countries as well as all of humanity.
