Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali has criticized the current fast bowler of the team Shaheen Shah Afridi. After the defeat in the first Test match against Bangladesh, Basit Ali has clearly said about Shaheen Afridi that he should play domestic first class cricket. Shaheen Afridi got only two wickets in the first Test match, where the wicket was favorable for fast bowlers. Bangladesh batsmen took good care of the left arm pacer. In this match, Bangladesh created history by winning by 10 wickets.
Shaheen Shah Afridi has not been in form for a long time. Last year the fast bowler suffered several injuries and this led to a drop in his speed. When he looked out of form once again, Basit Ali has urged the fast bowler to return to domestic cricket and get match fit. He said on his YouTube channel, “Shaheen Afridi should be given 100 percent rest. He should play first-class cricket. He should be given rest. Pakistan failed in bowling, fielding and batting. They beat us in all departments. It is wrong to say that the team had a bad day.”

Pakistan declared their first innings at 448/6, but their bowlers failed to support the batsmen and Bangladesh scored 565 runs in the first innings. This put pressure on Pakistan and when Pakistan’s batsmen came to face Bangladesh bowlers in the second innings, they fell like a pack of cards. Pakistan’s team could score only 146 runs. In this way, Bangladesh got a target of 30 runs. Bangladesh easily achieved this target on the last day without losing any wicket. This was Bangladesh’s first victory in Test cricket against Pakistan.
