On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Janmashtami festival will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in the state on 26 August 2024. The General Administration Department has issued necessary guidelines for this. In the instructions, attractive cultural programs will be organized at the temples of Lord Krishna and places associated with him on the occasion of Janmashtami festival.
On the occasion of Janmashtami festival, cleaning of temples of Lord Krishna and cultural programs will be organized in every district. Lectures by scholars on various topics based on Indian cultural traditions, yoga etc. along with the context of Lord Krishna’s education and friendship and life philosophy will be organized in all government/non-government schools/colleges. Cultural programs will be organized on the occasion of Janmashtami at such places in the state where special events related to the life of Lord Krishna are held, such as Janapav, Amjhera, Narayana and Sandipani Ashram Ujjain.
Keeping the Janmashtami festival in mind, more and more people will be made aware of the architecture and features of temple construction as per scriptures. Along with this, appropriate action will also be taken to make all sections aware of the events, stories and narratives of our glorious history.
