The student was returning from a party; the bike rider who gave her a lift raped her


A case of rape of a young woman came to light in Bengaluru on Sunday morning. An unknown motorcyclist has been accused in this case. A senior police officer gave this information. Additional Police Commissioner Raman Gupta said that the girl is a final year student in a college in the city. She was returning to her home in Hebbagodi after a function in Koramangala. Gupta said, ‘The person from whom she took a lift raped her. We have registered a case of rape and started investigation.’

The police officer said that prima facie it appears that she had gone to a party in Koramangala. He said, ‘There is only one suspect. The person who gave her a lift is suspected of raping her. Our investigation is on in this matter.’ Gupta said that police officers had visited the spot. They spoke to the victim and her relatives. He said, ‘We have collected all the information and formed 5 teams. We are investigating and soon the culprit will be arrested.’

2 people arrested after attack on female doctor

On the other hand, Maharashtra Police has registered a case against three people including two women after the incident of assault on a female doctor in Sion Hospital in the early hours of Sunday. Two of them have been taken into custody. The accused attacked the female doctor in a ward of the hospital when she was treating a man. Sion Hospital is also known as Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College. The Sion police station officer said that a man shouted at the female doctor, after which an argument started. Two women and a man who had come with the patient assaulted the female doctor, after which the hospital staff had to call the police.
