Pakistan-Bangladesh test will not be held in Karachi… Know why it had to be shifted

Bangladesh is currently going through a phase of trying to bring stability after the coup and riots. PM Sheikh Hasina has already left the country. Mohammad Yusuf has become the interim PM. There is still tension in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the cricket team is on a tour of Pakistan, where it has to play a series of 2 Tests. But before that a big news is coming out.

The second test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan was to be held in Karachi, which has now been shifted. This match will now be played in Rawalpindi. The main reason for this change is the renovation work in Karachi National Stadium. This work is being done for the Champions Trophy to be held next year.

Because of this Karachi test was shifted to Rawalpindi

Let us tell you that earlier there was talk of selling cheap tickets for this match at Rs 15 each. But after that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement saying that this second test in Karachi will be played in an empty stadium without spectators due to construction work.

But now the PCB has changed its decision. They have shifted the match. On Sunday (August 18), the PCB had cited the reason of not holding the match at Karachi Stadium and said that the stadium has been shifted so that the players do not face any problem due to noise pollution.

PCB officials said that a lot of dust will fly during the renovation, which can cause problems for players, broadcasters and media. They do not want to delay the renovation work and want to complete everything by the next Champions Trophy. This is why it was finally decided to shift the match.

A match between Pakistan and England will also be held here

Let us tell you that the Champions Trophy is to be organized next year under the hosting of Pakistan. This tournament will start from 19 February. PCB said that before shifting the match, they had discussed all the matters with the stakeholders.

Before the Champions Trophy, in October this year, one match of the series between Pakistan and England will be played in Karachi. In such a situation, PCB does not want to take any risk. The first match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Rawalpindi from 21 to 25 August. While the second and last match will also be played in Rawalpindi from 30 August to 3 September.
