In Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district, a girl, upset with being constantly followed, injured herself. A boy was constantly harassing a minor girl in the Semriya Chowki area. The victim attacked herself with a sharp weapon in the middle of the market. She was seriously injured in this. Her treatment is going on in Rewa hospital. Meanwhile, the police is busy interrogating a suspect in this case.
According to police sources, the girl resident of Semriya studies in class 9th. A young man was trying to woo her for a long time. The girl got very tensed due to constant following and harassment. On Friday afternoon, she picked up a sharp weapon from a cobbler’s shop in the middle of the market road and stabbed herself in the neck.
Within a few seconds of the incident, she fell unconscious and her entire neck was soaked in blood. Seeing this scene, some other students present nearby also ran to the spot and were shocked. On hearing the commotion, the school teachers also reached the spot and in a hurry, the seriously injured student was taken to the Community Health Center Semaria. After first aid there, she was referred to the district hospital.
The doctors of the district hospital referred the injured student to the Medical College Hospital Rewa due to damage to the trachea. After the treatment, the condition of the injured student is said to be out of danger. The Semaria Police Station is busy interrogating a youth in this case. The injured student is currently not in a position to give a statement, so the police is waiting.
According to outpost in-charge Semaria Vikas Singh, a suspicious young man is being questioned in the case of a student of Higher Secondary School attacking her neck with a sharp tool in Semaria market. He went to Rewa Hospital to take the statement of the injured student in this case, but she is not in a position to speak right now. Crime has been registered against the unknown accused under section 354 of POCSO Act and investigation is being done.
