The world’s largest Rakshabandhan festival is going to start from August 19 in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. In fact, in this festival, thousands of sisters will tie Rakhi to their brother, MLA of Narela assembly constituency and Madhya Pradesh minister Vishwas Sarang. This festival will continue till August 31 and sisters from all 17 wards of the area will participate in it with great enthusiasm.
16th year of Rakshabandhan festival
Actually, Rakshabandhan festival is being organized in Narela assembly constituency since the year 2009 and this year the festival is entering its 16th year. This festival is a special occasion for the sisters of the area every year, where they express their affection and blessings by tying Rakhi to their brother Vishwas Sarang. This year, the festival will be inaugurated on August 19 at 1 pm from Ektapuri in Ward 38 of Narela Assembly.
Before the Raksha Bandhan festival, more than 1 lakh sisters are being registered offline and online in 338 booths of all 17 wards. Last year, 1,41,324 sisters tied Rakhi to Minister Sarang, and this year this number is expected to increase even more. Huge participation of sisters is being seen in the registration process, which will make this festival even more grand.
Name entered in world record
In fact, two world records were registered in the name of Minister Vishwas Sarang in the year 2016. He made a world record of getting Rakhi tied by 10,182 sisters in 4 hours and getting Rakhi tied by 85,000 sisters in the whole day. This year too, a large number of sisters are expected to tie Rakhi during the festival, which will make this festival a unique event in itself.
