Currently, a low pressure area is formed over southern Bangladesh. Apart from this, the monsoon trough is also passing through Madhya Pradesh, which is going towards the low pressure area. In such a situation, meteorologists have expected that heavy rains will start again in the state from August 19.
According to meteorologists, moderate rainfall may occur in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur division on Sunday-Monday as well. Light rainfall is expected in the remaining areas.
Several weather systems are active
According to the information received from the Meteorological Center, a low pressure area has formed over southern Bangladesh. The monsoon trough is extending from Bikaner, Vanasthali, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Ranchi to this low pressure area formed in Bangladesh. A cyclone has formed in the upper part of the air over south-western Rajasthan.
A trough has formed from this cyclone to the Arabian Sea. Former senior meteorologist of the Meteorological Center, Ajay Shukla, said that due to the effect of these weather systems formed at different places, moderate rainfall is occurring at some places in North and East Madhya Pradesh.

On Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Gwalior recorded 36 mm rainfall, Pachmarhi 29 mm, Betul 14 mm, Chhindwara 1 mm and Satna recorded 0.2 mm rainfall.
