Crash landing of a two-seater aircraft in Guna, it was on a test flight, engine failure suspected


A two-seater plane crashed in Guna on Sunday. This plane is said to belong to Belgaum Aviation Training Institute of Karnataka, which was brought to Sha-Shib Academy for maintenance. Two pilots had taken it out for a test flight.

After being in the air for about 40 minutes, the plane suddenly lost its balance and swayed and fell to the ground. It is suspected that the accident happened due to the failure of the plane’s engine. Both the pilots are reported to be injured in this accident. On receiving the information, Cantt Police officials have reached the spot. The staff of the Flying Academy is also present at the spot.

According to the information, aircraft 152 of Belgaum Aviation Training Institute of Karnataka took off for testing at around 1 pm on Sunday. Captain V Chandra Thakur and pilot Nagesh Kumar flew the aircraft for about 40 minutes, but then it crashed on the airstrip. Both the pilots were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

It is being told that Aircraft 152 of Belgaum Aviation Training Institute was brought to Guna’s Sha-Shib Academy for testing and maintenance. Pilots V Chandra Thakur and Nagesh Kumar were called from Hyderabad for its testing. Both of them reached Guna on 10th August. Today on Sunday, the aircraft took off for testing, but it crashed after 40 minutes.

The crashed aircraft belongs to Belgaum Aviation Training Institute of Karnataka. Both the pilots are from Hyderabad. Both the pilots were hired by the training institute. The aircraft was brought to Guna’s Sha-Shib Academy for testing and maintenance. The pilots came to Guna on 10 August.

TI Dilip Rajoria of Cantt police station said that one pilot is completely fine. The other one has a head injury. He has been shifted to a private hospital. He may also have to get stitches on his head.
