Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that no stone will be left unturned for the overall development of Khandwa. He also asked the public representatives to keep a constant watch on the development works and schemes. Urban Development Minister Shri Vijayvargiya was addressing the dedication programme of the swimming pool in Khandwa on Sunday.
Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that an action plan should be prepared for the bypass and ring road in Khandwa city. Approval will be obtained from the state government on priority. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream is that by the year 2047, when the country completes 100 years of independence, India should be the most powerful nation in the world, work has been started for this. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that efforts are being made rapidly to ensure that every poor family in the state has their own house.
Khandwa Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Amrita Yadav said that work is being done on a plan of Rs 137 crore to overcome the water crisis in the city. It was told in the programme that the swimming pool has been constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore. Former Indian Administrative Service officer Shri Kavindra Kiyawat said that the swimming pool has been constructed with public participation.
Addresses the Gaurav Diwas ceremony
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Vijayvargiya also addressed the Gaurav Diwas ceremony of Khandwa. He said that the great playback singer late Kishore Kumar has etched his name in golden letters in the field of music with his excellent singing. His birth anniversary is celebrated as Gaurav Diwas in Khandwa. He urged the youth to hone their talent and make Khandwa proud in the country and the world. The programme was addressed by MP Shri Gyaneshwar Patil, Mayor Smt. Amrita Yadav and local public representatives. On this occasion, various cultural programmes were also organised along with folk dance. The Gaurav Yatra organised on this occasion traversed the main roads of the city. A large number of citizens participated in this.
