Cricketer Rinku Singh receives threat from underworld, demands ransom of Rs 5 crore!

A case of threat from the underworld to Indian cricket team player Rinku Singh, resident of Aligarh, UP, has come to light. A message was sent to his promotional team demanding extortion money of Rs 5 crore. The case is six months old. Mumbai Crime Branch has revealed this by arresting two people. According to the police, this threat was given by ‘D Company’ i.e. most wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim gang. Here, Aligarh Police also contacted Rinku’s family. They have been talked to. But, he has neither asked for any security nor has any complaint at the local level. Still the police is maintaining vigilance.

According to Mumbai Crime Branch, three threatening messages were sent to Rinku Singh’s promotional team between February and April. The team has arrested two people from West Indies. The names of the arrested accused are Mohammad Dilshad and Mohammad Naved. He admitted this during interrogation. Let us tell you that these days Rinku Singh is participating in the Ranji Trophy camp at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. After this revelation, Aligarh Police contacted Rinku’s family living in Ozone City here.

SP City Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said that no complaint has been given by Rinku Singh or his family. This action has been taken by Mumbai Crime Branch. Rinku’s family has been talked to. He has not even demanded any security yet. If they ask for security, it will be provided. Still, the police are maintaining a vigilant vigil as a precautionary measure.
