The case of the death of 14 children from poisonous phlegm syrup in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh has now caught fire. The opposition is constantly attacking the Madhya Pradesh government. Meanwhile, the state’s Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Rajendra Shukla has given a big statement. He said that the pharmaceutical company was never given a clean chit and as soon as doubt, the samples were sent for investigation and the sale of the drug was banned.
The Health Minister said that in the investigation, 48% toxic substances have been found in the syrup. After this, action has been taken on the concerned pharmaceutical company. At the same time, out of the children who died, 11 are from Parasia, 2 Chhindwara and 1 Chaurai region. Financial assistance has been provided to the affected families. At present, 8 children are in the hospitals of Nagpur, out of which four government, three private and one child are admitted to AIIMS.
Union Ministry of Health Advisory issued
The minister said that in this whole case, a government doctor was suspended and registered a case against him and arrested. The biggest stockist of Koldrif in Jabalpur was sealed. A health alert has been issued in the entire state. He said that now according to the Advisory of the Union Health Ministry, instructions have been issued to not give phlegm syrup to children below two years of age and cuff syrup under the supervision of specialist doctors to children up to five years old.

Tightening screws on Tamil Nadu company
Health Minister Rajendra Shukla said that the drug company which led to this tragedy is a pharma company in Tamil Nadu. The state government has initiated legal action against this company and correspondence has also been done in this regard. The company has completely tightened the screws. Any accused in this case will be given strict punishment. No one will be spared.
