He further said, “I don’t know anything about the law. Whether it will be an obstacle in the ongoing investigation by making it public. So I have returned the report. If it can be made public, you will take it from them.”

Garg died in mysterious circumstances in Singapore on 19 September. He went to South East Asian country to attend the fourth North East India Festival organized by Shyamakunu Mahant and his company.
A new twist came in the case of the mysterious death of the cultural symbol of Assam when Goswami alleged that the singer’s manager Siddharth Sharma and the festival organizer Mahant had poisoned Garg in Singapore. Earlier, officials had said that he died due to drowning while swimming in the sea.
Judicial Commission formed for investigation
State CID is currently investigating the case of Garg’s death. Shyamakanu Mahant, the chief organizer of the Northeast India Festival, where the singers went to perform, and Sharma, members of the band, Goswami and Amrit Prabha, have been registered against about 10 other people across the state.
These four people have already been arrested in this case and each has been sent on 14 days police remand.
In addition, the Assam government on Friday constituted a member Judicial Commission under the chairmanship of Justice Soumitra Saikia of the Guwahati High Court to investigate the mysterious death of Zubeen Garg.
