SFJ demands a ban

Amidst the arson and firing incident in the cinema hall, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has announced that all “Made in India” films and products be banned in Canada.

SFJ General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun said that now “Made in India” is not just a cultural identity, but has become a political weapon of the Modi government, which aims to spread the hatred of Hindutva. According to him, every Indian film and every “Made in India” product is a mark of violent ideology, which is leading India to Hindutva dictatorship.

SFJ has appealed to Prime Minister Carney, Canadian policy-makers, traders and cultural institutions to take concrete steps and ban the “Made in India” films. The organization insisted that this matter is neither of business nor cinema, but also to protect the democratic spirit of Canada from the poisonous spread of Modi’s Hindutva dictatorship.
